Origami CD covers

If you are burning a lot of CDs and don't need to keep them in jewel cases, you can use one of these origami CD covers and not only save space on your shelf, but also you'll be able to buy your blank CD-Rs very inexpensively on a "spindle". Here's what you can choose among:

A Gif-format diagram for a CD cover created by Nick Robinson.

A Word document that you can use to set up info about the CD. It'll place the text on the paper so that when you've finished folding the cover the info will be properly placed on the cover.

A PDF-format diagram for a CD cover created by Tom Hull (there's also a gif- version).

A Word document for Tom's cover.

This web site will generate fancy pdf-format layouts for Tom's cover.

A Gif-format diagram for a double-CD case by Jorma Oksanen

A Word document for Jorma's cover.

To use the Word documents, what you need to do first is download them and store them in any convenient directory. To make a new CD Cover, just double click on the appropriate Word document and once you have loaded the document, be careful to do a "Save As" so that your CD info doesn't overwrite the master copy. Then type in the particulars for your CD, print it out and fold the cover; the CD information will appear in just the right place on the folded cover.
